From a Home Studio to the most complete Professional Audio Solution
About 10 years ago, Américo, a well-known Chilean singer started to walk the path towards digital audio when he bought an Avid 003 interface for his home studio. Since then, Américo has consolidated his career and became a tropical music icon world wide.
Some time ago he was looking for a technological solution which may allow him to continue to grow and improve his studio. He wanted to locally achieve the same world class standard he dreamt to use in other countries.
He begun by installing his first professional recoding systems at his place, which included a Protools HD 3, a C24 Console and several others top quality systems. This new systems brought him enormous satisfaction and propelled his career.
Solution
At that new level of success, in April 2014 he decides to jump forward and buought a new complete multitrack recording system including Protools HDX and the new revolutionary S6 M10 control surface, turning his studio, “Minga Records”, located in Santiago, in the first in Latin-American studio to have such quality Audio systems.
On top of things, he also buys a Venue S3L console for his live Concerts. This 64 channel console allows him to tour with his own equipment at the highest international standards.
Results
Today Américo has a huge amount of booked presentations around Latin America and USA. Minga Records is already in its early stages of operation, promising to become a trend setter in Chile.
Américo has recorded all his hits in Avid Audio systems, as he is the biggest Protools solutions and tools fan.
This year he has been nominated to 5 Latin Grammy Awards, becoming the first Chilean solo artist with such a number of nominations in Chile’s music history. VGL and Avid are grateful of his preferences and happy to be a part of his successful career.
