AVID end to end workflow for production
At the beginning to 2012 Bethia Group bought Mega acquiring 100% of its property. Since then, and at all levels, changes have been taking place at Vicuña Mackenna. By the end of 2013, the Technical area, due to the new direction the corporation was taking, invited VGL to participate in a project to renew the Production Systems. We were asked to deliver a robust, transparent and proven solution to put an end to the existing problems they were experiencing at the time, going from Ingest to the Playout.
After months of analysis of all the existing solutions in the market, and a trip to NAB at Las Vegas, Mega executives chose VGL’s proposal.
Solution
During MAY 2014 Mega selected Avid’s end to end workflow. That solution included Airspeed Ingest Servers, ISIS 5500 Shared storage, Interplay PAM, Media Composer Editors and Protools Audio Post production solutions.
Results
At this this time we are at the installation stage fo the shared storage and editors, some of which are already fully operative and being used at the new Drama Department and it is expected to have the whole solution operative by the end of Q3 once construction work actually taking place is finished at Mega’s premises.
